In a full day tour you have two options, you can either make the tour more personal by choosing the locations you wish to visit or you can let the driver show you some of the most popular places on the island on our standard full day island tour. These tours are perfect for groups visiting the island on holiday.
Our standard all day tour starts in St Peter Port you where you will go on a scenic drive through town and stop off to admire views of the surrounding islands at Havelet Bay. The first visit on your tour will be to Sausmarez Manor. The 13th century manor is home to the sculpture park, where local artists display there creations amongst the subtropical gardens. Back on board the coach and you will be taken to Jerbourg and Icart point where you can see stunning views of the south and east of the island.
On the tour you will learn a little more about the history of the island where you will visit the German underground hospital. Originally constructed by slaves during world war two, the German underground hospital is exactly how it was left by the Germans during the occupation. The tour will also include the German Occupation museum, originally built as a fuel store for U boats during 1940-1945 is now used to tell the story of the German occupation through intriguing exhibits and fascinating collections. Later on in the tour you will visit more historic sites such as Vazon Tower, Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum and Rousse Tower.
You will then have the opportunity to explore The Little Chapel. Originally built in 1914, the chapel is known for being one of the smallest in the world and is decorated beautifully in broken china, shells and pebbles. Moving on with the tour to Guernsey’s largest jewelry manufacturer, Bruce Russell & Son, Gold, Silversmith and Jewelers. The award winning family business has received many commissions to design for celebrities, Heads of State and Royal family. Before the tour comes to an end you will be able to take a stroll through the Sausmarez kitchen gardens. View where the delicious fruit and vegetables are grown, visit the shop where you find produce from the gardens and locally handmade goods.
