Jackie is a Guernsey-born girl and has re-trained as a tour guide after 30 years in the finance industry. Below are some set St Peter Port walks and she is available for commission for any other area of the island.
Walk 1 – Heroes, Witches and Writers
Starting and finishing at the Guernsey Information Centre in St Peter Port, this walk takes you to the harbour and through the streets of St Peter Port, where you will hear about famous, local, historical people. The tour continues onwards to the gardens of Hauteville House and then back down to the Castle Emplacement before walking back. Option: swap the visit to Victor Hugo’s gardens for La Vallette Military Museum.
Walk 2 – Monks, Cemeteries and Faithful Soldiers
Starting and finishing at the Guernsey Information Centre in St Peter Port, this walk will take you either up St Julian’s Avenue to Candie Gardens or will follow a more southern route to include Upland Road and Rue Des Frères.
Walk 3 – Bespoke
Bespoke walks can and have been created around any part of our coastline and cliff paths for any length of time. Please ask if you wish to focus on any part of Guernsey or our sister islands of Herm or Sark. I now have a PSV (Public Service Vehicle) license (July 2017) and I can drive a group of 4 in my Freelander to any tourist attraction on the Island.
